Nothing brings an existing home up to visual and energy savings standards quite as beautifully as window and door replacements. Many times existing windows and doors become weathered and therefore require ongoing maintenance. Older windows and doors rarely have the insulating and solar reflective qualities of newer versions. Newer products have metal and vinyl cladding for zero maintenance and are often insulated with special films, coatings, and gasses.
Just as we are builders of some of the finest homes in the region, we are also number one when it comes to restoring your existing home. Window and door replacements , which are primary elements of any home improvement, must be done with exquisite care and precision so they operate properly and so that air and moisture infiltration never become an issue. Your home and its contents must be respected and kept clean throughout the entire process.
Our craftsmen are meticuloulsy managed to be sure that your new window and door products are installed according to manufacturers specifications and that they look and perform just as you imagined when you made the decision to invest in the upgrading of your home.

If you have a really nice home, we recommend that you research and purchase Pella Windows. The range of styles and features Pella offers is unparalled in the industry. The precise assembly of these windows would earn the respect of a fine watch maker. There is much more to be said in this regard, but for now we will just assume that you have decided on your new Pella windows and that they have been delivered to your home.
Before we start, the contents of your home are carefully protected:

Then we remove your existing windows and discard them:
We evaluate the subsurface conditions of your openings. Then they are cleaned and wrapped with a very special window flashing tape to stop any moisture infiltration:
Your new window is placed in the repaired and ready opening:
Then your window is shimmed, centered, and plumbed so that it is accurately placed within the renovated opening:
We fasten the window with exterior grade screws instead of nails so that existing sheetrock is not damaged by the shock of hammering:
We then apply more flashing tape over the window's integrated nailing fins to further seal and protect your home:
Your window is now ready to finish to the surrounding brick or other exterior finishes. When brick is the exterior finish, a frame expander from Pella, makes a clean "Brick Mould" frame around your window and provides one more layer of protection for your home:
After the application of some urethane sealants and a bit of Windex, your new windows will become a part of your new home. They will be there for you to enjoy and take pride in while having the satisfaction that these new energy saving windows will be virtually maintenance free for years and years to come!
